Smith's plays – including the critically-acclaimed White Hot, Firemen, PTSD and The Wife – have been performed at Ensemble Studio Theatre, HERE Arts Center, Labyrinth Theatre Company, PS 122, The Flea Theatre, The Public Theatre’s Under The Radar Festival, Ars Nova, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), The Eugene O’Neill Playwrights Conference, Theatre of NOTE (LA), The Institute of Contemporary Art (Boston), On The Boards (Seattle), The Warhol Museum, Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, and many others.
Publications include Pigeon (Dramatists Play Service), White Hot (New York Theatre Review), Lotus Eaters (Steele Spring), Streak (Vintage). Awards: The Playwrights of New York Fellowship, Sloan Foundation Grant, Page 73 Fellowship, Creative Capital, MAP Fund, Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle prize. Graduate of the playwriting program at The Juilliard School.
